Every year, an exceptional mentor and women who have shown remarkable professionalism and leadership at Penn State are recognized with two awards: the Rosemary Schraer Mentoring Award and the Achieving Women Award. The 2019 award winners will be honored at a luncheon on Friday, April 26, from noon-1:30 p.m., in the Presidents Hall at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center.
Penn State Hazleton’s fifth annual regional STEM Research Fair was held recently in the Evelyn Graham Academic Building with participants representing several area high schools.
Poet and writer Eddy Ulerio will speak at Penn State Hazleton on Thursday, April 11, about his new book, “The Hispanic Immigration in Hazleton: Resistance, Changes, and Integration.” The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Room 115 of the Evelyn Graham Academic Building and is free and open to the public.

Penn State Hazleton will host the African art exhibit “From the Heart of Africa – Masks, Fetishes, & More,” beginning Friday, March 22. The exhibit will be complemented by a lecture on African art.
