Free tutoring and academic support services
The Student Success Center, located in room 203 of the Charles T. Butler Teaching and Learning Resource Center, provides students with free academic support in a variety of formats and schedules.
Tutoring and academic support opportunities include the following:
- Individual and small group tutoring by faculty-recommended peer tutors
- Professional tutors for writing (Writing Lab) and mathematics (Math Dimension)
- One-on-one professional Academic Coaching to assist with study skills, time management, exam success analysis, note-taking, school-life balance, and academic organization
- Peer Academic Coaches assigned to each incoming first-year student
- Support for First-Generation college students
- Self-help tutorials via Canvas course
- Mini computer lab
- Study & collaboration areas
- Zoom room for collaboration with online courses or job interviews
- Student Disability Resources (SDR)
- Student retention programming
- Free materials such as notebooks, highlighters, and index cards
