Hazleton dancers prepare for THON

THON 2020 will begin on Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center at the University Park campus. The three dancers representing Penn State Hazleton during the 46-hour fundraising event are Meghann Principe, Christine Turse and Camille Principe.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on March 7. Tickets are available for $17.50 through the Hazleton, Schuylkill, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton chapters of the Penn State Alumni Association, which are sponsoring the event.

Shemas establish scholarship

Penn State alumnus Rick Shema, who attended both Hazleton and University Park campuses, and his wife, Tamlyn, have established the Gifted Abilities for Penn State Success Scholarship (GAPSS) at Penn State Hazleton.
