HAZLETON, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton will hold information sessions for its practical nursing program from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 4, and from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1.
The program is an 18-month part-time program that provides a high-quality noncredit certificate in practical nursing. It prepares individuals with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes essential for practical nursing practice and the knowledge necessary to pass the NCLEX-PN. All classes are held on evenings and weekends.
The program is led by qualified nursing instructors who teach a curriculum focused on structure and function of the human body, fundamentals of practical nursing, concepts of basic medical-surgical nursing care, and nursing care of adults and children.
The information sessions will provide all the information about Penn State Hazleton’s practical nursing program. The Practical Nurse Entrance Exam (TEAS test) also will be held at Penn State Hazleton. Upcoming test dates are Wednesday, March 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Monday, March 23, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.; and Wednesday, April 8, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
