Learn the fundamentals of Spanish in just 10 hours!
Spanish Fundamentals for Today's Workplace is designed to help learners develop practical language skills for a variety of workplaces like schools, manufacturing facilities, health care settings and more.
Students will not become fluent in 5 weeks, but they will create a solid starting-point to launch immediate language use and further language study.
What you will learn:
Students will learn essential vocabulary, basic grammar, and conversational phrases needed to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking colleagues, clients, and customers.
The course emphasizes real-world scenarios such as greeting others, asking and answering simple questions, giving directions, handling customer service interactions, and discussing common workplace topics. Additional practical applications include:
- Assisting customers with purchases, appointments, or basic inquiries
- Communicating with coworkers about schedules, tasks, and responsibilities
- Supporting patients or clients by gathering basic information (name, needs, concerns)
- Responding to parents/guardian with questions about their children's school experience
- Giving simple instructions or explanations related to job duties
- Handling phone calls or basic email communication in Spanish
- Navigating workplace safety instructions and emergency situations
- Building rapport through polite conversation and culturally appropriate expressions
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and use basic Spanish in everyday professional situations, improving both confidence and workplace collaboration.
