Program overview
The 100-hour personal care home administrator training program is for current and aspiring personal care administrators, nurses, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who wish to fulfill continuing education requirements.
The program consists of Pennsylvania Department of Human Services standardized and approved curriculum. Courses meet on weekends via Zoom and vary in length from two to nine hours.

Requirements
To qualify for this program you must have one of the following:
- An associate degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university
- A license as a registered nurse from the Pennsylvania Department of State
- A license as a nursing home administrator from the Pennsylvania Department of State
- A license as a licensed practical nurse from the Pennsylvania Department of State and one year experience in a related field
- A general education development diploma or high school diploma and two years direct care or administrative experience in the human services field (for a home serving eight or fewer residents)
You must also attend a one-day Pennsylvania Department of Human Services orientation in addition to the personal care home administrator course. There is no fee for the orientation.

Format: The entire 100 hours of training is offered online from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Wednesdays
Cost: $1,450
Course mode: Zoom
Orientation
This is a free, mandatory, 6-hour program that must be completed before, during, or after the 100-hour training and exam in order to operate as a personal care home administrator. Registration is required and fills up quickly.
Attention current PCHAs: Each of the classes in the Personal Care Home Administrator 100-hour training can be taken by PCHAs toward their annual 24 credit requirement. The cost per credit hour is just $15 and you can get your credits in the evening or Saturday. Receive a special price of $249 if you register for all 24 required CEUs.
