Access Account Information
All Penn State students are assigned an Access Account. This account consists of a user id and password and can be used at all Penn State locations as long as you are enrolled student. This account will give you access to all Penn State technology resources. Most incoming freshmen will receive their Access Account information before the New Student Orientation program.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you set up Security Questions to be able to reset your Access Account password in the event that it has expired or has been forgotten. Setup security questions: https://www.work.psu.edu/password/
Changing Your Password
It is required that you change your Access Account password annually after initially setting it. You can change your password at https://accounts.psu.edu
Note: If you never set up Security Questions (see above), you will not be able to use the site.
Please read and follow the instructions carefully. Always remember, do not share your password with anyone.
PASS Space and Printing
You can view your PASS allotment and printing allowances at https://www.work.psu.edu/password/
Problems With Your Access Account
Report lost or stolen account information to the Hazleton IT Service Desk at 570-450-3456, or by Request Form. Contact the Hazleton IT Service Desk for assistance in retrieving forgotten account information. You will need to have your Penn State photo ID card to retrieve any information on your account. For security purposes, account information cannot be given over the phone or through email.
Note: If it appears that your account information is no longer working, be sure that you are not using the wrong case. Access account information is case-sensitive and is initially all lower case.
