Dana Sukeena has been hired as a mental health counselor and health educator at Penn State Hazleton, Chancellor Gary Lawler announced.

The following is a list of academic promotions for tenured and tenure-line faculty members at Penn State, effective July 1.

Penn State Hazleton will offer a bachelor of science degree in project and supply chain management beginning in fall 2018, Chancellor Gary Lawler announced. The degree will be offered as part of a consortium with the Schuylkill, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre campuses. The first students will be accepted into the program for a fall 2018 start, and a full complement of upper-level classes will be offered beginning in fall 2019.

Thirteen Penn State College of Engineering faculty members have been selected for promotions, effective July 1, 2018.

Penn State Hazleton’s Continuing Education Office will host summer youth camps for students entering first through 12th grade in fall 2018.

Longtime University benefactor Pasco Schiavo recently made a $35,000 gift to establish the Pasco L. Schiavo Open Doors Scholarship. Schiavo created the endowment under the “A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence” campaign and will leverage a 2:1 University match, increasing the scholarship fund to $105,000.
