Senior Alexis Daly, first-year student McKenzie Prutsman and sophomore Kamryn Dodd, all members of the Penn State Hazleton women's basketball team, were honored by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association at the association’s annual awards banquet held at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington prior to the USCAA national tournament.
The Greater Hazleton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will host photos with the Easter Bunny and the Nittany Lion from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 2 in the Harlam Lounge of Pasco L. Schiavo Hall. Chapter members ask that attendees bring pet supplies to the event in exchange for the photo.
Neil LaGreca, a member of the Penn State Hazleton culinary team, recently competed in Penn State’s Culinary Challenge held at University Park. The competition, similar to those on television, gave participating cooks one hour to create a unique dish using certain required ingredients.
Penn State Hazleton, an authorized provider of American Red Cross programs, will offer courses for lifeguards to become certified and recertified through the American Red Cross in April.
Susan Russell has been announced as the commencement speaker at Penn State Hazleton. Commencement will take place at 7 p.m. May 6 in the Dr. Thomas M. Caccese Gymnasium in the Physical Education Building.

Chancellor Gary Lawler announced Thursday that Tracy Biehl has been named the head coach of Lady Lions volleyball at Penn State Hazleton for the 2016 season.
“We welcome Tracy to the Penn State Hazleton athletic staff and are certain that her experience, drive and concern for her players will be contributing factors to the continuing success of our women’s volleyball team,” Lawler said.
Starting in fall 2016, incoming students and students living in University housing must submit required vaccine documents through a new online process.
