Penn State University Libraries awarded its Undergraduate Research Award: Excellence in Information Literacy to students at nearly all undergraduate Penn State campuses in April, honoring 97 undergraduate students as well as eight graduate students participating in their respective campus-wide research exhibition events.
The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning today (May 2) approved a proposal for renewing Penn State Hazleton’s Lofstrom Library. The project, which goes to the full board for consideration on May 3, will include infrastructure and programming upgrades to modernize the facility and incorporate state-of-the-art resources for students.
Penn State Hazleton hosted the ninth Eastern Regional Undergraduate Research Symposium, providing students from seven eastern universities the opportunity to display their research. More than 45 students participated in this year’s symposium.
Julia Carter will serve as the speaker for Penn State Hazleton’s commencement on Friday, May 3, Chancellor Gary Lawler announced. Commencement exercises begin at 7 p.m. in the Thomas M. Caccese Gymnasium of the Physical Education Building.
Corporate communication students from Penn State Scranton and Penn State Hazleton collaborated on a class project that resulted in the first-ever Corporate Communication Day event for the northeast Penn State campuses.
The Penn State Hazleton campus choir will perform its spring concert on Tuesday, April 23. The concert begins at 12:10 p.m. in the lobby of the Evelyn Graham Academic Building.
