The exhibit “Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature” is on display for the public at the Penn State Hazleton Library now through Friday, Dec. 2. Carl Frankel, Penn State Hazleton assistant professor of biology, will speak from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, in conjunction with the exhibit.
On display through Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Penn State Hazleton Library, the traveling exhibit “Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature,” explores the birth of Frankenstein, the life of author Mary Shelley, the scientific search for the principle of life and the transformation of the “monster” in popular culture.

One of the most enduring tales of the Western world — Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus — is the focus of a traveling exhibition that will begin a six-week visit at the Penn State Hazleton library on Oct. 24.
Penn State Hazleton is hosting a series of events for DisABILITY Awareness Week, Oct. 17-21, overseen by the rehabilitation and human services faculty at the campus.
Penn State Laureate Rebecca Strzelec will visit Penn State York Oct. 19 to talk about "Art + Engineering = Creative Problem-solving." The program will take place at noon in the rehearsal room of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center and is free and open to the public.
