Penn State President Eric J. Barron welcomed graduates, families and friends to the livestream of Spring 2020 Commencement ceremony on the afternoon of May 9, 2020. The broadcast also included live remarks from Executive Vice President and Provost Nicholas Jones, along with a variety of videotaped features and special guest appearances.

The Nittany Lion Shrine basks in the early morning sunlight on a crisp, autumn day. The shrine, cut from a 13-ton block of limestone by Heinz Warneke and Joseph Garatti, was dedicated in October of 1942 and celebrated it's 77th birthday Oct. 24.

Hayfield House at Penn State Wilkes-Barre was constructed by coal baron John Conyngham as a dream home for him and his wife Bertha at the Hayfield Farms estate. According to legend, after the home was built, John Conyngham accidentally -- or not so accidentally -- fell down the home's elevator shaft to his death. In the time since, students and staff have claimed to hear bizarre noises and slamming doors when the building is supposedly empty.
