Brittany Diaz, an adult learner from West Wyoming majoring in Physical Therapist Assistant, has been named Student of the Month for February.

Penn State Hazleton will host Holocaust survivor, author and nonprofit founder Ben Lesser for a live presentation about his life at 1:35 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. Lesser first shared his story with the Penn State Hazleton community in 2021.

Third-year Penn State Hazleton student Yokaira Concepcion is serving as an ambassador for the Penn State Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center, helping to spread financial awareness to fellow students and other members of the University community.

Penn State Hazleton is inviting community members to visit campus for a family-friendly Egg Hunt at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29. The evening also will include a donation drive benefiting the Hazleton Animal Shelter, photos with the Easter Bunny and Nittany Lion, and other activities.

The Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq. will host a variety of virtual events geared towards innovation and entrepreneurship from March 20-24 during Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC.

The Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP) at Penn State will host a TEC Talk Forum on energy technologies and transitions on Thursday, March 23, at Penn State Hazleton. 

Matt Janson, a second-year student majoring in health policy and administration, has been named Student of the Month for January. 

The motivation Jennifer Malaga received from her academic adviser as a student at Penn State Hazleton is encouragement she remembers to this day. Now, as an academic coach in the campus’ Student Success Center, she’s cherishing the opportunity to pay that support forward to current students.
