HAZLETON, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton honored employees marking milestone anniversaries with the University during its annual Employee Recognition Ceremony on Friday, April 19.
Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Elizabeth J. Wright joined other campus leaders in commending the honorees for their work ethic, enthusiasm and commitment.
Employees recognized during the ceremony include:
One year: Lilly Fitt, information resources and services support specialist; Denise Kiefer, food preparer; Aaron Mattern, director of enrollment management and student aid; Christine Ostrosky, administrative support assistant; Cory Rainis, police officer; and Desiree Voitek, director of development and alumni relations.
Five years: Matthew Demarco, maintenance worker; Elizabeth Huck, instructional designer; Eshani Lee, assistant professor of chemistry; Liam Martin, police officer; Joshua Parcha, assistant professor of corporate communication; Colleen Racho, registrar; Gina Regula, education program assistant; Megan Schall, assistant professor of biology; and Lori Ann Yeager, lecturer and coordinator of medical laboratory technology program.
Ten years: Ryan Aten, assistant director of athletics; Yusuke Hayashi, associate professor of psychology; Michael Morrison, director of business and finance; and Dinesh (Dan) Patel, associate professor of chemistry.
Fifteen years: Tracy Garnick, director of student services and engagement; Zugang (Leo) Liu, professor of business; Sandra Maylath, maintenance worker; Mary Millbyer, food worker; Donna Sabol, maintenance worker; and Nicle Young, associate teaching professor of mathematics.
Twenty years: Lisa Goguen, associate professor of psychology and coordinator of psychology program; Elena Ligenza, assistant director of admissions; and Michael Polgar, professor of sociology.
Twenty-five years: Eileen Morgan, assistant teaching professor of English and coordinator of English program.
Retirements: Barbara Brazon, associate teaching professor of information sciences and technology and coordinator of information technology program; Peter Crabb, professor of psychology; Lisa Hartz, information resources and services support specialist; and Rosemarie Petrilla, teaching professor of physical therapy and coordinator of physical therapist assistant program.
