Where do students register?
Students must register on the Undergraduate Research website by completing the registration form. Each student will be asked to select their research area (STEM or arts, humanities and social science). An abstract of their work is also required.
What are the requirements for posters or oral presentations?
Posters should each consist of 9 panels of standard 8 ½” by 11” paper, each glued onto a blue poster board background or be printed on a plotter (a large format printer) in one piece. Students may also choose a 48" by 36" landscape-style poster. Files may be uploaded in any format. Specific poster instructions to follow.
When do students need to be present for their poster or talk?
Students are required to present their posters in Lofstrom Library during the week of the symposium. Winners will be announced at noon on Friday of that week. Judges will be evaluating the posters based on content and presentation quality.
Posters should be displayed on provided poster boards. Students may additionally use multimedia such as laptops or projectors, if needed.
