Penn State President Eric Barron and a panel of local and industry leaders and entrepreneurs appeared in Harrisburg on Nov. 9 for a hearing of the Pennsylvania Senate Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee. Titled “Improving Pennsylvania's Innovation Economy: Invent Penn State,” the hearing focused on Penn State’s efforts to drive economic development, job creation, entrepreneurship and innovation, and student career success through the Invent Penn State initiative.

Penn State Hazleton will welcome King’s College Professor of Economics Margarita Rose at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, for a virtual lecture entitled “Small Loans for Big Change: Microfinance in Latin America and East Africa.” The hour-long lecture is organized by the campus’ Latinx Culture Club and Office of Academic Affairs.
Penn State Hazleton Associate Teaching Professor of Information Sciences and Technology Barbara Brazon has been recognized with the College of Information Sciences and Technology Faculty Member of the Year Award. She recently marked her 25th year with Penn State.
Barbara Brazon, information sciences and technology program coordinator and assistant teaching professor of information sciences and technology, was honored for 25 years of service during a virtual ceremony on Friday, April 23.
Barbara Brazon, associate professor of information sciences and technology, was recently recognized with the College of Information Science and Technology Faculty Member of the Year Award. She celebrated her 25th year with Penn State earlier this year.
