This week, we recognize three Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University.
Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form. For more information about the process, visit the "We Are!" guidelines.
This week, it's thank you to:
Dusty Sharer, Kerri Comly and Meredith Shepherd, with Penn State Sports Medicine, whose nominator wrote: "I nominate three members of the administrative staff of the Penn State Center for Sports Medicine — Dusty Sharer, Kerri Comely and Meredith Shepard — for their time and effort in helping to organize pre-participation physicals for nearly 90 new Penn State student-athletes this summer."
Mary Ann Harvey, with Human Resources, whose nominator wrote: "Mary Ann is outgoing, friendly and has demonstrated excellent customer service skills. She is a very hard worker with an exceptional attitude, good working relationships with both colleagues and customers, embraces diversity and extends respect to everyone she encounters. Thank you, Mary Ann (Sunshine)."
Yusuke Hayashi, a faculty member at Penn State Hazleton, whose nominator wrote: "Dr. Hayashi goes the extra mile to ensure that his students learn difficult material both in his courses and his research lab. No faculty member on campus spends more time tutoring students between classes and mentoring young scientists in his lab. Dr. Hayashi sets a great example for us all."
