HAZLETON, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton Benefitting THON, the campus’ THON chapter, will host a designer purse and gift card bingo on Sunday, Oct. 22. Doors open at 1 p.m. and games will start at 2 p.m. in the Dr. Thomas M. Caccese Gymnasium in the Physical Education Building. The event is open to the public.
Tickets are $25 in advance from any THON member and $30 at the door. Tickets also can be purchased in the Student Services and Engagement office, located in Room 105 of the Charles T. Butler Teaching and Learning Resource Center. Those unable to visit the office can email Penn State Hazleton Benefitting THON Chairperson Tori Rabuck at [email protected] for tickets.
Participants also can take chances on raffle baskets during the purse bingo. Food and beverages will be available for sale.
All proceeds from the day will benefit Penn State Hazleton Benefitting THON. Penn State THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world in which thousands of volunteers are committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. THON is comprised of more than 16,500 Penn State student volunteers who aim to provide emotional and financial support to Four Diamonds families, as well as to spread its mission and bring awareness to childhood cancer. Since its start in 1973, THON has raised more than $200 million to support Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. THON is scheduled for Feb. 16-18, 2024, at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State's University Park campus.
