HAZLETON, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to visit Penn State Hazleton for an on-campus open house from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The open house will include a presentation from an admissions counselor, a campus tour led by the Lion Ambassadors, and opportunities to have individual questions about academic programs, campus life and more answered by current students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Participants can hear details on the baccalaureate and associate degree programs that can be completed at Penn State Hazleton, and the more than 275 majors that can be started at Hazleton and completed at University Park or another campus.

Breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics, including financial aid, transferring credits, honors programs and completing the Penn State application.

Following a buffet-style lunch at the Highacres Café, participants will take a campus tour that includes a visit to the Mary M. and Bertil E. Lofstrom Library, which recently underwent a $7.6 million renovation. The library tour will feature demonstrations of the tools and technology available to students, like a Makerspace, one-button studio and more.

There also will be an opportunity for interested students and their families to explore the campus’ Physical Therapist Assistant program, featuring a tour of our state-of-the-art physical therapy facility and equipment that mirrors that of contemporary practices.
