Establishing Excellence Days
Establishing Excellence Days are your opportunity to see the impact our students make at Penn State Hazleton and to share your vision of the ways you'll establish your own excellence as a member of our campus community.
During your visit, you'll:
- experience student life firsthand by exploring options for creativity and innovation in our MakerSpace
- meet and greet key individuals and departments that will align you for success
- enjoy a complimentary lunch with your future classmates
- and sit down with an admissions staff member to chat about how you plan to leave your mark at Penn State Hazleton.
Based on your interview, you can receive an Establishing Excellence Award of up to $2,000 per year.

Penn State Hazleton Spring Open House
Saturday, April 18
9:30 a.m.
The best way to learn more about Penn State Hazleton is to visit! This Open House event is for prospective high school students or students looking to transfer from another institution who are interested in learning more about both Penn State and its application process. Your visit will include an information session presented by an admissions counselor, opportunities to speak with current students, staff and faculty members, lunch and a campus walking tour.
Reservations are required for these sessions, and they tend to fill quickly, so make your plans and register now. We look forward to showing you all that Penn State Hazleton has to offer as you explore your college options. See you on campus soon!
Penn State Hazleton Accepted Student Program
Saturday, April 18
9:30 a.m.
Congratulations on your admission to Penn State!
Join us for a special program to learn more about your next steps in becoming a Nittany Lion. You will speak with current students, faculty and staff, and learn what Penn State Hazleton has to offer.
Registration is required. Once you register, you'll receive follow-up communications with a campus map, directions and additional information. Please note that the event begins at 9:30 a.m.
Campus Visits
Experience Penn State Hazleton and see why our campus is a great fit for you!
Led by our student Lion Ambassadors, your visit will include a tour of our beautiful 125-acre campus, state-of-the-art facilities, residence halls (if applicable) and a stop at our popular Nittany Lion shrine!
We offer several types of visits Monday through Friday (and select Saturdays). Reservations are required.
Preparing for your visit:
- When you arrive on campus: Please follow the signs to Lot D and park in or near the visitor parking spaces. Parking is free, and a permit is not required. Check in at the Admissions Office in Schiavo Hall, located by the Nittany Lion shrine.
- Canceling your visit: You may cancel or reschedule your visit online by clicking on the "Edit my Registration" button at the bottom of your confirmation email. If your event is within 24 hours, please call our office at 570-450-3142 to cancel or reschedule.
Virtual Personal Visits
You have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with your admissions counselor directly from the comfort of your own space. Discover everything Penn State and Penn State Hazleton have to offer with topics covering academic programs, the admissions process, financial aid, student services and engagement, and more. Our Admissions and Student Aid team is here to help you every step of the way.
