Program options
- Accounting
With an almost 20 percent projected national growth in accounting, auditing, financial analysis, and personal financial advising, this new option provides Penn State Hazleton students with an opportunity to prepare for a position in an expanding field.
The accounting option builds upon the basic and intermediate core business curriculum which includes courses in economics, management information systems, marketing, business logistics, and finance. Students then take an additional 18 credits of financial and managerial accounting, systems and controls, auditing, and taxation courses.
- Management/marketing
Prepare for the career track of general management and marketing. Learn the vital skills and gain the knowledge necessary to make you a highly competitive player in the twenty-first century workplace.
Graduates are ready to excel in careers involving marketing, sales, distribution, and planning for business or the public sector.
- Individualized option
A student needs to work with the business program coordinator and the Advising and Career Center to develop an appropriate curricular plan.
