Constitution Day scavenger hunt planned for Sept. 19-20 at Penn State Hazleton

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton will recognize Constitution Day with a special event on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 19 and 20.

The Lectures and Events Committee has organized “The Great United States Constitution Scavenger Hunt” as a fun and interactive way for students to learn more about the Constitution and its history.

Stations will be set up at various places around campus, each with one of the articles or amendments of the Constitution on display to read, and an accompanying bunch of small papers with the name and/or short summary of the article or amendment.

Students who find all the stations and pick up a copy of each of the papers can turn them in to the library desk, where they will be entered into a drawing. The winning student will receive her/his choice of either a $100 gift certificate for the bookstore or $100 added to their LionCash account. Entries must be submitted by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, recognizing all who are born in the U.S. or who have become citizens by naturalization. Additional information on Constitution Day is available at www.constitutionday.com.
