HAZLETON, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to visit Penn State Hazleton for its Penn State Day Open House on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 9:30 a.m.

The visit will include a presentation about all things Penn State, activities, specialized breakout sessions, a campus tour, and opportunities to have questions about academic programs, campus life and more answered by current students, faculty and staff.

"We invite families exploring college options to join us for Penn State Day,” Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Elizabeth J. Wright said. “This open house is a wonderful opportunity to explore our campus, witness the educational journey we offer, and get a glimpse of the exciting experiences awaiting you at Penn State Hazleton.”

Participants will hear details on the baccalaureate and associate degree programs that can be completed at Penn State Hazleton, and the more than 275 Penn State majors that can be started at Hazleton and completed at University Park or another campus as part of the 2+2 Plan.

“Whether you’re a high school student, transfer student, adult learner, or are thinking of resuming your education after taking some time off, Penn State Day is a convenient all-in-one opportunity to discover how a Penn State education can set you up for success,” Penn State Hazleton Director of Enrollment Management Aaron Mattern said. “We encourage prospective students to come see our campus, ask questions, and experience first-hand what it’s like to be a Penn Stater.”

Attendees will have their Penn State application fee waived.

Register online. Prospective students may also schedule a personal appointment by contacting the Admissions Office at 570-450-3142 or [email protected].
