HAZLETON, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to learn about the various opportunities at Penn State Hazleton during its upcoming “Spend a Summer Day” visit from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11.

The in-person visit features information on the campus’ flexible academic program offerings, including the two- and four-year degrees that can be completed at Penn State Hazleton, and the more than 275 Penn State degrees that can be started at Hazleton and completed at University Park or another Penn State campus as part of the 2+2 Plan.

Attendees will also learn about financial aid, ways to get involved on campus, and more. Finally, guests will be able to explore the campus during a tour with student Lion Ambassadors.

“Whether you’re a new student, transfer student, adult learner, or are thinking of resuming your education after taking time off, ‘Spend a Summer Day’ is a convenient all-in-one opportunity to learn about the ways you can benefit from a Penn State education,” said Interim Director of Enrollment Management Sabrina Krupko. “We encourage prospective students to join us, ask questions, and experience first-hand what it’s like to be a Penn Stater.”

Krupko noted that applications for fall and spring 2023 are now open. Attendees of “Spend a Summer Day” who apply to Penn State will have their application fee waived.
