Penn State Hazleton was joined by University leaders and guests to celebrate the official grand opening of its Center for Multicultural Engagement. A new student-championed space at Penn State Hazleton dedicated to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging celebrated its official grand opening on Sept. 26. The Center for Multicultural Engagement is a student fee-funded project that created student education, collaboration, performance, study and socialization spaces, as well as a gallery and library.
Kellina Yarrish will support the University’s commitment to student growth and development by providing oversight and direction for student engagement, including clubs and organizations, and co-curricular activities and events. She will also oversee international student support, multicultural affairs and programming, and the residence life program, including the residence hall staff and resident assistants, while managing the student conduct process and directing the campus’ student diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
