Hazleton Alumni Chapter

The chapter is a geographically based group of Penn State alumni and friends. With more than 200 members, the Hazleton chapter conducts an extensive calendar of special events for members, their families, and the community throughout the year. The board of directors, led by President Sandy Lagana '82, meets at Penn State Hazleton, generally on the first Wednesday of each month. More information is available at:

Penn State Hazleton Alumni Society

The society is a "virtual" network consisting of all Penn State Hazleton alumni.  The society works directly with the Alumni Relations Office to promote the academic mission of Penn State Hazleton through on and off-campus activities and efforts, and provides a means whereby Hazleton campus alumni may reconnect anywhere in the country or the world!

Penn State Hazleton Blue & White Society

The Hazleton campus student branch of the Penn State Alumni Association was chartered in 2007! All current Hazleton campus students are eligible to join.  Please contact the Student Affairs office at 450-3160 for more information. 

Alumni chapters in region

Penn State Pocono Chapter

Serving the Pocono Mountain areas of Monroe County, members meet weekly during the football season, and host an annual golf tournament. They raise funds for Pocono area students bound for Penn State at any location, and present these funds to the students at their annual business dinner. For more information about the chapter, contact President Ted Butz, '87, at 570-421-1987 or [email protected].

Penn State Carbon County Chapter

With more than 400 members, the Carbon County Alumni Chapter serves Carbon and surrounding counties.  The Chapter charters transportation to all Penn State home football games and plans special events for members throughout the year.  Membership is open to alumni and friends of Penn State.  For more information on the chapter, contact Richard R. Worthington Scranton Chapter

Serving the Greater Scranton area, this very active chapter is involved with student support activities and hosts an annual dinner, raising money for student scholarships.  For more information on the chapter, contact chapter President James Elliott '90 [email protected].
