Penn State Behrend awarded 669 undergraduate and graduate degrees at two outdoor commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8. The ceremonies were held at Behrend's soccer stadium, with COVID safety protocols in place for the duration of each program.

A member of the Class of 2021, Nguyen earned a bachelor of science in biology degree with the Genetic and Developmental Biology option. During her time as a student at the York campus, Nguyen was part of the honors program, served as a teaching assistant in cell biology, worked as an EMT for West York Ambulance, and her goal is to attend physician assistant school. This is the first in-person commencement since fall 2019 and the first time for the ceremony to take place off campus. The ballpark is home to the York Revolution, a member of the Atlantic League of professional baseball.

Graduate Makayla Brown-Paul hugged her family after Penn State Lehigh Valley's annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 8 held at the Lehigh Valley campus. The campus awarded associate and bachelor’s degrees to 72 students. The featured speaker for the event was Dr. Suresh Nair, physician-in-chief of Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute (class of 1982).
