Pathway to Success: Summer Start (PaSSS)
The Pathway to Success: Summer Start (PaSSS) program lets incoming first-year students begin their college coursework during the summer, allowing them to earn credits, get familiar with the campus and available resources, and ensure a successful transition to college life.
Summer Session 2022 Schedule:
- Maymester 4-week session: Monday, May 9 to Monday, June 6 (Finals: June 8)
- First 6-week session: Monday, May 16 to Friday, June 24 (Finals: June 27)
- Second 6-week session: Wednesday, June 29 to Wednesday, August 10 (Finals: Aug. 12)
- Regular session: Monday, May 16 to Wednesday, August 10 (Finals: Aug. 12)

General Information
Admission
Graduates of accredited high schools or students with high school equivalency diplomas may register for undergraduate courses, provided they meet course prerequisites. Undergraduate courses are numbered 0–399. Enrollment in advanced credit courses (400–499) requires at least 60 college credits and course prerequisites.
Enrollment in a class does not imply admission to the University. To become a degree candidate, you must apply for formal admission. For further information, contact Penn State Hazleton’s Admissions office at 570-450-3142.
Transfer of Credit
Students intending to transfer Penn State credits to another institution will need to order transcripts online through LionPATH at the end of summer session. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar’s office at 570-450-3185 or visit the Registrar’s home page.

Tuition Payment
Your tuition statement will be available on LionPATH after your classes are scheduled. An email notification with due date information will be sent when the statement is available.
Please refer any questions regarding payments, rates for dropped classes, withdrawals, or refunds to the Bursar’s Office at 570-450-3150.
Limited Enrollments and Cancellations
A maximum class size is established for most courses. The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone any class because of insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances.
