Congratulations Graduates!
Spring 2026 commencement will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, in the Dr. Thomas M. Caccese Gymnasium in the Physical Education Building.
Leading up to commencement, graduates are invited to attend special events. In addition to the events listed below, other events are being scheduled. We encourage you to check back and watch your email for updates.
Graduate Salute
Thursday, March 5
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Upper Butler Lobby
This event will be held in conjunction with the nutrition event sponsored by Health and Counseling Services. Free smoothies!
- Confirm your intent to graduate and get answers to your questions about graduation.
- Acquire information about student loan management after graduation.
- Get sized for your cap and gown with a helpful representative from the Barnes & Noble Bookstore for Hazleton's spring ceremony, or if you are participating in a ceremony at another campus. Caps and gowns are available for purchase at the campus bookstore.
- Speak with a Penn State Alumni Association representative about the PSAA's programs for graduates.
- Learn about Career Services available to alumni and get resources for job searching and/or graduate school.
- Order announcements, invitations, or a school ring.
Cap Decorating
Wednesday, April 29
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Upper Butler Lobby
This will be held in conjunction with the Health and Counseling Center’s Stress Event, so stop by to decorate your cap and enjoy other activities to lower your stress and get ready for graduation. If you can’t make it at that time, we’ll be sure to leave out the materials for you to decorate when you are able to do so.
Commencement Rehearsal and Picnic
Friday, May 8
10:30 a.m.
Rehearsal will be held in the Physical Education Building, followed by a picnic in the Picnic Pavillion.
Since all the details for the ceremony will be covered at this rehearsal, it is essential that participants attend and be on time.
