Additional weather info, ongoing updates
The decision to delay the start of on-campus classes, work and other activities at Penn State Hazleton is determined to be in the best safety interest of the University community. University officials will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary. The most up-to-date information will be shared via PSUAlert in various modes and the Penn State Hazleton website.
Campus closed
No classes are held, only essential employees report and only essential services are available. Under this condition, essential employees report to the campus. These employees are individually notified in advance that they are essential and receive compensatory time for the hours they work when the campus is closed.
Snow Policy
Driving in inclement weather: The Greater Hazleton area can have some challenging driving conditions during winter weather. While we all have a dedication to providing classes, labs, and other experiences for our students, it's important to understand that no faculty or staff member is expected to put their life in jeopardy to get to campus. Personal safety and the ability to come to campus will be left to the individual. Faculty should extend the same consideration to their students.
