The announcement of a delayed opening or campus closure at Penn State Hazleton will be made on the following timetable:
Morning class decisions will be made by 6:00 a.m. and communicated through various communication channels (text alert, website, social media, etc.) to students, faculty and staff.
Evening class decisions will be made by 2:00 p.m. and communicated through various communication channels to students, faculty and staff.
Driving in inclement weather: The Greater Hazleton area can have some challenging driving conditions at times. While we all have a dedication to providing classes, labs, and other experiences for our students, it's important to understand that no faculty or staff member is expected to put their life in jeopardy to get to campus. Personal safety and the ability to come to campus will be left to the individual. Faculty should extend the same consideration to their students.
