Minors at Penn State Hazleton

Academic Minors: Enhance Your Degree

A minor is an academic program that complements and enriches a student’s major field of study. Pursued alongside a baccalaureate degree, a minor allows students to explore an additional area of interest, broaden their skill set, and deepen their overall educational experience.

Minors can help students:

  1. Diversify your academic profile with knowledge outside of your primary major
  2. Gain valuable interdisciplinary skills to strengthen career readiness
  3. Explore personal interests or fields beyond your major
  4. Stand out to employers and graduate schools with a more well-rounded academic background
