Vicki S. Blazer, a research fishery biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, will deliver the annual Mylar Giri lecture at Penn State Hazleton at 12:20 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, in Room 115 of the Evelyn Graham Academic Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Twenty-two graduates of Penn State Hazleton’s practical nursing program marked the successful completion of the program during a ceremony on Friday, Dec. 19, in the Dr. Thomas M. Caccese Gymnasium in the Physical Education Building.
A $550,000 contribution from the estate of late attorney, philanthropist and Penn State Hazleton benefactor Pasco L. Schiavo will extend a scholarship program established in his name through 2028, providing critical financial support for students during their first and second years at the campus.
