Clubs and Organizations

Penn State Hazleton offers more than 15 clubs and organizations. Below is a sample of some of the clubs currently active on campus.

Anime & Gaming Club

The Anime & Gaming Club is the source for everything anime and gaming. We create a community in which students can meet new people and share common interests. So, whether you like kicking back with some friends and watching your favorite anime or gathering around to compete in your favorite game, this club is right for you!

Association of Residence Hall Students (A.R.H.S.)

This organization is the governing board for the Residence Halls and also provides activities for Residence Hall students.

Business Club (Phi Beta Lambda)

Open to students of all majors, FBLA-PBL is a nonprofit association comprised of over 250,000 students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. FBLA-PBL's National Awards Program recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. Through state-based competition at the spring State Leadership Conference, students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top state winners are then eligible to compete for honors at the National Leadership Conference each summer.

Blue and White Society

The society is the student contingent of the Penn State Alumni Association. The mission of the Society is to enhance student life through promoting Penn State pride, community service and dedication to the University.

Cheerleading 

This group strives to promote school spirit while providing members the opportunity to compete.

Physical Therapy Association

This club is a service organization association with the Physical Therapy Department.

Hazleton Campus Activities Board (HCAB) 

HCAB is an organization that develops programming for students ranging from comedy and game shows to cultural and educational events.

Lion Ambassadors 

The Ambassadors are a chosen group of outstanding students who, as a club, promote Penn State and its interests and goals among current and future students, alumni, and friends.

Psychology Club

Psychology Club offers resources and activities related to psychology. This club is available to any student interested in the field and is especially helpful for students in Penn State Hazleton's four-year psychology program.

Science & Engineering Club

The goal of this club is to gather students interested in science or engineering and provide an experience outside of the classroom.

Spanish Club 

Spanish Club offers an opportunity for students to foster their Spanish skills and to promote student awareness of Spanish language and culture.

Student Government Association (SGA)

This association is the governing body on campus and sponsors various programs throughout the year to enhance campus life.

Swim Club

THON

Hazleton's branch of the Penn State Dance Marathon Committee holds events and fundraises to support families dealing with pediatric cancer. In 2015, the overall THON committee raised more than $13 million.
