On Feb. 3, all students, faculty and staff members at every Penn State campus location will receive an email to take the Penn State Community Survey to share their attitudes and experiences of community, diversity and inclusion at Penn State. Every 100 survey takers will have a chance to win an Amazon or Starbucks gift card.
Launching on Feb. 3, the Penn State Community Survey is an opportunity for all students, faculty and staff members at Penn State's campuses to provide confidential feedback on their experiences and perspectives related to community, diversity and inclusion. Emails with unique survey links will be sent to students, faculty and staff on Feb. 3.
Author, professor and poet Javier Ávila will bring his one-man show, "The Perfect Latino," to Penn State Hazleton at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Evelyn Graham Academic Building. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Penn State Hazleton dedicated a new student space for supporting diversity and inclusion at the campus. The LOFT (Lions of Fusion Territory) has been designed as an informal area in a comfortable, lounge-like setting where students can spend time in an inclusive environment.
Penn State Hazleton’s annual diversity presentation will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in 115 Evelyn Graham Academic Building. The event is free and open to campus students, faculty and staff, as well as the public. Jamie Longazel, an area native and assistant professor of sociology at the University of Dayton, is the featured speaker and will address the topic of racial and ethnic divides in Greater Hazleton.
