Basics of Goal Setting

Idea Design Lab

The Idea Design Lab is a three-week program helping aspiring entrepreneurs develop new business ideas and identify the next steps of the start-up process. There were two sessions, including one in Spanish.
Idea Test Lab
Feb. 23 - March 30
The first step in taking your idea from concept to business is figuring out if you have identified a problem worth solving. In this four-week program, participants learned how to get a better handle on what problem your customer really has, where potential customers hang out, and identify the value you can provide that others can’t. There were two sessions, including one offered in Spanish.

Alejandro Acosta Garcia, an experienced consultant in strategic planning, organizational structure and more, discussed how entrepreneurs can serve as leaders of projects.
Alejandro also shared insight on the importance of seeing each start up as the sum of several small projects.
In addition to his background in consulting, Alejandro brings extensive experience as a teacher in project formulation, evaluation, management and business planning for entrepreneurs.

Network professional Luis Romano shared why it is important for businesses to be active on social media in order to be relevant.
Luis also explained International Organization for Standardization (ISO), standards that are crucial to manufacturing, quality, information security management systems, and other business aspects.
