- Attend Summer NSO - produce schedule for Fall
- Get computer access account and change password
- Send copy of Fall schedule to your Penn State email account
- Take notes for FYE class
- Pay semester tuition to guarantee schedule
- Attend Orientation Program (August)
- Attend College Meeting and meet academic adviser
- Note office location, office hours, and email address
- Follow directions given by adviser and college rep at college meeting
- Make adjustments (if necessary) to Fall schedule in consultation with adviser/Advising and Career Center
- Watch for early warning reports (week 3)
- See adviser if you receive any low grades - adjust schedule accordingly
- Watch for notification about "Advising Week" and schedule a meeting with your advisor
- Check for last day to late drop a course
- Watch electronic bulletin board and check eLion for date for pre-registration for Spring
- Use eLion to get an audit for your intended (possible) major(s)
- Using the internet, the audit, and a paper schedule, put together a tentative schedule for Spring
- Keep appointment with adviser and discuss academic and career goals
- Check appropriateness of tentative schedule
- Schedule courses for Spring on eLion (schedule times are determined by total number of credits, earned and in progress)
- Pay semester bill in December to lock in courses
- Check Fall grades on eLion
